A Fist full of Dinos

annalandin:

Remember that comic I said I was working on last week? Well, here it is.

All dialogue is not quoted verbatim, but everything else is 99% accurate. Also apologies to everyone involved for any wonky-looking depictions of them. I have a weird partial face-blindness thing going on.

(Also thanks Stuff You Missed In History-podcast - I drew all of this while listening to you. You’re great!)

So, Närcon (narconevent), a Swedish cosplay convention is literally taking place on campus where I work. Cosplayers everywhere! It’s amazing. They aren’t even deterred by the insane heat.
(My Swedish isn’t that good but with the help of a dictionary, the text underneath says something along the line: nobody but you decide what it means to be in a fandom. Be nice to each other and don’t let anyone reduce your interest)

About NärCon, In swedish.

Ok, Närcon då.

I caught up on Mekakucity Actors and had to draw these two babies while looping the OP as if that would summon new eps. Finally we’re getting some answers to all these damn questions.
McA is solidly in the “bunch of precious babies have to fight against fate” genre, which is pretty evergreen IMO.
But good ol’ Shaft, always with the friggin budget and time issues. Here’s hoping they replace that awful 3d sequence for the bluray.

Hello guys!
I’ve got a portfolio update! :D

I fell in love with Krysta Rodriguez and her performance in The Addams Family Broadway Musical a few months ago… and I thought it would be fun to explore my own take on the Addams Family… and well… here it is! haha xD

This truly was a learning experience for me because I can clearly see how much I need to improve and how far away I am from where I want to be.. However I’m glad I pushed myself to go outside my comfort zone! It was well worth it.

Lastly, I wanna thank my amazing teachers/mentors who walked me through this process these past few months! I owe all I’ve learned to them <3

I will be posting Part 2 of the portfolio shortly so stay tuned!
OR you can check it out at LissyMarlin.com if you want :)

Thank you guys <3

This is what my husband and I purchased at the grocery store the other day.

We don’t have kids.

We are adults. We pay bills.
And drink water from a whale.

Pictures of me from NärCon’s Cosplay competition.

I had a great time while up on the stage, even though I managed to break EVERYTHING.
The lamp is in several pieces by now, and the sword lost its handle.
Yup.
The first image shown, is where I broke the sword. It’s in the middle of me going: HIYA HIYA HYEEEEEAAAAAHHH and I kind of lost it.

(Rant will come later, I need to unpack and wash stuff before travelling again)

Home from NärCon now, and fro, Scania as well.

I’m going to rant a little about NärCon later, but I’m just going to collect all the pictures I took and what others took of me.
